I first met June at a networking event and as soon as she told me the name of her company, The Listening Business, I was intrigued. After my first experience of being listened to by June I felt a huge weight had been lifted from my shoulders.

On the train on the way to see her, I didn’t really know what I was going to talk about – generally speaking I’m a very happy person in a great relationship and run (with my business partner Steph) a very exciting company. However as soon as we started our session I talked about stuff that was obviously bubbling under the surface. At three points throughout my time with June I had those lovely ‘light-bulb’ moments. What I found most beneficial (apart from the fact that it’s a wonderful feeling to be properly listened to) was that rather than receiving advice from someone, I worked out what was bothering me and how to solve it myself. So I experienced a great sense of satisfaction. I will definitely visit June again – I can see so many uses, from talking through business ideas to talking about issues at work as well as generally having a really good listener to talk to!
